Veterinary experience

My first professional experience with animals began as a veterinary receptionist in an animal hospital. During which I witnessed first-hand the incredible highs and devastating lows of pet ownership, as well as the intricacies involved in their care.

Above all, I witnessed how every day, innocuous events can become an emergency. I credit this experience to the meticulous diligence that I carry out in all of my interactions with the dogs in my care.

Since I opened my business in 2023, I have had the honour of walking and caring for dogs of all sizes, ages and temperaments. From 3kg, to 55kg, taking puppies through those first tricky months, to seniors who need to be carried up to bed. I also have experience with

- managing multi-dog households where a dog is in season

- applying ear and eye drops to dogs with infections

- rescue dogs, specifically from overseas

- deaf dogs

- reactive dogs and adjacent issues - ie, resource guarding.

- dog with ongoing medical issues; recovering from spinal surgery, hip dysplasia, luxating patella
